Selection TEAM Camp starts!
The MTC HopSol League Selection Teams powered by Pupkewitz Megabuild started their 1st training camp on Friday afternoon at the SKW field in Olympia. The Selection Teams in the age groups U13, U15 and U17 are made up of the better and consistent performers in the league games during the season.
The aim of the Selection Teams is to further expose the players in the league by participating in international tournaments in Sub Sahara Africa. According to the organisers that is of the opinion that Namibia has an abundance of talent that needs to be nurtured systematically and exposed in the early years as the U13 to ignite this potential and eventually reach great heights such as the current Brave Warriors Deon Hotto, Peter Shalulile or Ryan Nyambe.
The players where put through their paces by the coaches that worked on the techniques of the players on the first training day. The players are training under professional conditions with a Goalkeeper coach, Athletic coach and Biokinetic among the coaching staff. The camp will continue with 2 sessions planned on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
“I am so proud to be part of this team”- said Robinho Van Wyk, a talented 13 year old from log leaders KFA.
MD of Pupkewitz Megabuild, Mr.Marcel Lamprecht and Marketing Manager Silke Kuhn was equally enthusiastic and happy to be in attendance to see these talented youngsters do what they love on the soccer field.
