U17 Selection Team plays to 3 all draw against SKW U19

On the last day of the Selection Team High Performance Camp powered by Megabuild the U17 team played a friendly match against SKW U19. SKW U19 2weeks ago reached the semifinal of the MTC HopSol League cup that was eventually won by Ramblers U19.

The youngsters from the Selection Team took the lead in the 7th minute before extending the lead in the 18th minute to 2:0. The Selection Team featured two 15 year olds in the mould of Sebastian Schubert of SKW and Eduardo Namib of Swallows. The match was played at a high intensity and at times became physical but fair. SKW U19 could equalize through Owen Damaseb and Eyasu Wodageneh just before half time.

The instructions from both coaches was heard all over the SKW field as both coaches were encouraging their respective teams. The impressive passing game, the team structure and confidence of the Selection Team was praised by friend and foe on the day. The match ended 3 all. After 3 days of intensive and specialized training the coach of the Selection Team Uzuvira Tjomita was more then happy with the positive attitude and the unmatching willingness of the players to learn. “I am satisfied” he said with a broad smile!
