Basti Schubert leads SKW U15 Victory

It was a very tight and physical encounter between the two finalist. Neither one of the two teams wanted to give any space to the opponents to try and build on. The result was a match closely fought in midfield, aggressive and lots of niggling fouls aimed at frustrating the team in possession. It took a free kick from good 35 meters to break the deadlock after Basti Schubert hit a powerful shot that the ACFA goalkeeper couldn’t handle before Pedro tapped the rebound into the net. The whole SKW bench, the supporters(made up of supporting screaming mommies) and players jumped and celebrated in ecstasy. After the goal Coach Nickie Gowaseb made some changes bringing in 3 strikers to bolster the attack. SKW fought hard to keep the Red Army at bay before Premier League Referee Naftali blew the final whistle.

The Team of the year accolade was handed to 1.FSW and their Coach Jeremiah Ekandjo received the Coach of the Year trophy. The Golden Gloves was awarded to RFA goalkeeper while Basti Schubert of SKW scooped the MVP and top goalscorer award for 2020 in the U15 age group.
