KANDJII’S LATE EQUALISER CATAPULTS NAMIBIA TO THE TOP

Namibia sits top of their table after a tedious tug of war against Central African Republic. The Warriors started off on a front foot, managing to maintain a 0:0 score line in the first half of the game. Namibia had control over the middle of the park with the hardworking Karuuombe Tjipenandjambi and Prins Menelik dictating matters.Karuuombe Tjipenandjambi started playing in the HopSol Youth Soccer League with his school team St Paul’s before moving to Ramblers Football Academy. The Young Warriors however fell behind after an accidental goal by Yangao of CAR in the 53rd minute. After so many attempts at goal, Kadjii finally opens Namibia’s AFCON goal account with only nine minutes to injury time. Conclusively, The Young Warriors lead the table and the man of the match title was awarded to their own Prins “Manelik” Tjiueza.

Namibia awaits Tunisia for the next match. Tunisia and Burkina Faso played to a goalless draw in their opening match.
