Meet the Namibian UK-based defender Ryan Nyambe
You asked, he delivered, Blackburn Rovers and Brave Warriors defender Ryan Nyambe visited the MTCHopSol Youth Soccer League studios to answer all your questions on Thursday, 20 May 2021.
Ryan moved to Europe at the age of ten and 3 years later got scouted by Blackburn Rovers and made his professional debut at the age of 17 and the rest as they say is history.
The footballer recently launched a soccer school (Nyambe Football Academy) in Namibia, he states that the school is aimed at teaching young kids the basics of football and to give them the opportunity to get into the footballing world as young as possible, despites its name the school is not yet an academy but he hopes it will turn into one in the future.
One fan asked if he will be the first Namibian to play in the premier league, without hesitation he simply replied that, that is one thing he is working towards to. Nyambe’s advice to the young ballers is to work hard and stay focused on what you love and pair that up with dedication, perseverance and never be too comfortable, always try to be better.
