Hopsol League’s new base
…teams play at rejuvenated Jan Möhr field
Players in the MTC Hopsol League over the weekend dished out quality performances at their new base, with matches now to be played regularly at the Jan Möhr Secondary School fields. Rejuvenated and looking the part of hosting games in what is arguably the leading youth football league in the country, Saturday saw the inaugural match held at what is now called the CBS Arena.
The matches involved the youngest age groups in the league, with the U/9, U/11 and U/12 players all getting a chance to taste the “new” grass.
Among the many changes at the venue has been the revamped changing rooms for players, a new canteen and new stands for spectators. This gave the league a certain freshness that will surely inspire the players to keep on producing fine results for their respective academies, schools and clubs.
The CBS Arena is expected to be a new home base for youth football in Windhoek as the venue is located in such a way that it is accessible to all of MTC HopSol’s Youth Soccer League participating clubs, academies and schools.
The venue is located at Jan Möhr’s old rugby field in Windhoek West.
