– I was born on the 26th July 2002 in Windhoek.
What is your full name?
– Edmar Ronaldo Kamatuka
What is your dream job?
– To be a professional soccer player.
Do you have any routine before a soccer match?
– I don’t have a specific routine, I simply just keep calm.
What are your hidden talents? can you show us?
– I don’t think I’ve discovered my hidden talents yet.
What do your parents think about you playing soccer?
– My parents are extremely supportive because they know how much playing soccer means to me. They always want me to do my best and strive for what I want.
What does your perfect Sunday look like?
– Playing a match in the best weather conditions.
Do you have any siblings and if so do they also play soccer or any other sport code?
– Yes, I have 3 older brothers. Two of the three used to play soccer and the one is still currently playing for a team in South Africa.
Where do you see yourself in a couple of years to come?
– Europe.
Do you think soccer is progressive in Namibia?
– No.
When did you start playing soccer?
– At the age of 5.
What is one food item you consider to be disgusting?
– Beans.
Who is your GOAT Messi or Ronaldo?
– Messi!
What do you most enjoy about soccer?
– I enjoy taking on opponents.
Why do you play soccer?
– It’s one of the many things that make me happy.
Do you participate in other sport codes?
– No, just soccer.
How do you balance school and soccer?
– I find it really difficult to balance because my priority is always soccer. However, I try to give all my attention to school during the exams.
What is your favourite store/ where do you mostly buy your clothes?
– Sportscene and Markham.
Holidays are underway, where will you be going for holiday?
– I’ll just be in Windhoek this holiday.
What advice can you give other soccer players?
– Always work hard and don’t let other people shatter your dreams.
What is your favourite subject in school?
– My languages.
What are yout future plans, when it comes to football?
– The true plan is to play in Europe.
If you are to be given a chance to play for any established team in the world, which one will you choose and why?
– Real Madrid because my biggest dream is to play in champions league.
Who is your footballing hero?
– The late Diego Maradonna.
How was the mood on the camp after the 1:0 loss against Zambia?
– The mood wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be. The loss didn’t bring our confidence down; we remained positive.
How did you feel with your assist against Malawi?
– I felt absolutely amazing!
Do you think you can win the tournament and why?
– Yes, it’s definitely not impossible for us to win with the team we have.
Why are you wearing number 14 in the national team?
– Mainly because my brother, who plays for the senior team, wears the number 14 and I want to keep our family name high.
Do you think you are better than your brother Joslyn?
– We are both great soccer players in our own ways.
