Namibia suffers defeat at the hands of Tunisia
Namibia concedes 2 goals, after a major 50-50 tackle between them and the Eagles. It took Tunisia 28 minutes to score their first goal of the tournament through Marc Lamti from a well taken set piece, taking them to the break with a 1-0 lead, but Hassan Ayari quickly sealed their lead just 3 minutes into the second half.
The score line would have been more devastating for the Warriors if it was not for the outstanding performances from the goalkeeper Ngatangue and the crucial blocks from the MTC Hopsol League Cup U20 most valued player Baggio “Tulli” Nashixwa.
Namibia though undoubtedly the dominant side statistically speaking, failed to convert their chances thus leading to their downfall and a 2-0 defeat.
The Young Warriors will engage the Young Stallions of Burkina Faso on Monday at 21:00pm. The Stallions moved to the summit of the group after beating CAR 3:1 along with the Tunisians.
