MTCHopSol YSL attends MTC’s Annual Sponsorship Engagement Workshop
The MTCHopSol Youth Soccer League team joined 11 other MTC Sponsorship beneficiaries at the MTC Dome and Sport Development Center in Swakopmund for the MTC Annual Sponsorship Engagement from the 6th to the 8th of February 2022.
The workshop was opened by the MTC’s Corporate and Sponsorship Manager Mr. John Ekongo, who continued to welcome everyone and addressed the sponsor recipients respectively. The workshop was also attended by experts in fields needed by beneficiaries to carry the MTC brand and image to great and higher standards.
Mr. Hesron Kapanga, the NAMPA’s Sport Senior Journalist gave an overview of what the world of media expects from the organizations, while the media personality Jossy Nghipandua gave a splendid presentation accompanied by practical exercises to teach all in attendance how to practice acceptable public speaking and representation skills to avoid bad publicity. And as the world slowly moves into that of social media marketing, Mr. Ashton Dube (Head of Business Intelligence and Digital Strategy) educated all present on how to market their brand, while carrying that of MTC as well.
On a closely related note, NaMedia’s Managing Director Natasja Beyleveld gave the media impacts and return measurements for all codes sponsored by the telecommunication company. Whereas, The CEO of the MTC Dome and Sport Development, Fanus Engelbrecht, roughly introduced the facility and all its offering, most especially the high performance centre, which was further explained by Ulla Finkeldey as she gave coaches present an insight on how to get the best out of athletes as well as a detailed tour of the “one-stop-sport-facility”.
Sport is important, but the work done behind office doors is just as important when it comes to the success of any sport code. That is exactly what the President and Managing director, (African region of the Special Olympic International) Charles Nyambe, came to address. While doing so, he touched on Ethical Leadership, conflict resolution and professionalism in sport management as well.
Last but not least, Dr. Ndeulipulua Hamutumwa, a sports expect, who came back to sport after a long while, away to talk about sport development (where we were, where we are and where we wish to be).
To conclude the workshop, MTC’s CHCCA Mr. Tim Ekandjo closed off the workshop with words of gratitude and pride.
All in all, the workshop was meant to educate everyone involved, on how to carry and represent the MTC brand successfully and elevate your own with assistance from the experts.
